Volunteer Opportunities
Parent volunteer opportunities at Chesnut are plentiful!
K12Ambit is a new and improved web-based tool that has many great features: simple sign-up for volunteering, recording of charter credits, an online directory, and much more.

In addition to events that will be listed in K12Ambit, parents can also help out on an as-needed basis in many small - but important! - ways. Plan ahead with teachers and staff to see if you can help with:
- lunchroom monitor - let our teachers and staff have planning time, or eat their own lunch!
- class helper - teachers sometimes need help to file, organize, or do other easy but time-consuming tasks
- work from home - check with teachers and staff to see if they have work that can be done at home (cutting out construction paper shapes for Kindergarten, for example)
Any of these items would also qualify as hours worked toward the Charter requirements!
(Be sure to make all arrangements for helping out ahead of time, so that the work can be when it's convenient for you AND when it doesn't disrupt the school schedule.)
